I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank each of you for the honor and privilege of being your dentist, for some of you, for more than 25 years. Caring for you and your families has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I am profoundly grateful for the trust, loyalty, and friendships we have shared throughout the years.
It is with both gratitude and mixed emotions, I announce the sale of my practice due to a personal health issue. At this time, I must take a step back from dental practice ownership, which has been both challenging yet rewarding, to care for myself. After considerable thought and effort to find the right person to continue the values and patient-centered care which have always been so important to me, I am incredibly pleased to introduce you to Dr. Allie Barbosa.
Dr. Barbosa is not only a highly skilled and talented dentist, but also a genuinely compassionate person who shares the philosophy of care I believe every patient deserves. In fact, she is the dentist I have chosen for my own family and personal dental care. She and her husband are raising two young children, and I know many of you will enjoy getting to know them over the years ahead.
Dr. Barbosa is a MA native, lives locally, has been practicing and caring for families in the Raynham area for over a decade. She attended Boston University and earned her dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2014. She also completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at the VA Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island. Her dedication to continuing education and advanced dentistry will allow the practice to continue growing with new technologies and modern techniques while maintaining the personalized care you know and trust.
I am also happy to share our wonderful team: Angela, Amanda, and Lilyana will all remain with the practice and continue providing the exceptional care and familiar faces you have come to know over the years. I will also be present during the transition period to help ensure continuity of care and complete ongoing treatments.
After that, I look forward to spending more time with my two rescue dogs, Hades and Loki, while contemplating my next adventure.
A special thanks to Kevin my amazing husband who has been my rock throughout my dental career who some of you met during Covid; my wonderful mom Yvonne who is my Why and my “Y.” on all of my diplomas, and my children Veronica 22, Gabrielle 20, and Richard 16 who grew up during my years here at Cedars and are my driving force. Your love is unwavering.
Thank you again for your loyalty, kindness, friendship, and the many referrals you have shared over the years. It has truly been a privilege to care for you, and I know you will be in excellent hands with Dr.Barbosa and the team for many years to come.
